Ever ask yourself, “I’ve reflected…now what?” What about, “When do I build an agenda?” Or, “Did I gather enough information? Too much?” Or, just, “OMG. What do I do now?” If so, this training is for you. In the AMT, we go beyond the basics and into the trickiest parts of mediation with an intimate group of committed learners. Whether it’s building an agenda, dealing with high emotion, or generating and assessing options, this training will expand your comfort zone and take on the most challenging aspects of mediation. The AMT provides in-depth real time coaching, group feedback & discussion, and energizing hands-on exercises. In a small group setting - ensuring a strong participant-to-instructor ratio - you will work closely with New York Peace Institute's lead trainers, Will Nassau and Chris Daly, to wrestle challenging concepts to the ground.

Key Content:

  • Agenda-building
  • Mediation-stage transitions
  • Interest-based reflection
  • Managing cross-talk, high emotion
